WWE Battleground: New match to be added, possible feuds for the PPV

Jack Swagger and Rusev set for a feud at Battleground

The countdown to WWE’s Battleground pay-per-view has already begun and we are just two weeks away from the event which is set to entertain the wrestling universe on July 20 at the Tampa Bay Times Forum in Tampa, Florida.

With two main event matches already booked for the specials, we now have one more match waiting to be added to the PPV card.

That match will be a heavyweight clash between Alexander Rusev and Real American Jack Swagger. As seen on this week’s Raw, Zeb Colter and Swagger issued an official challenge to the Belgian Brute for a match at Battleground.

Lana and her associate are expected to give their response either at Main Event or on Smackdown which means that match will be made official by this week.

Meanwhile, The Usos suffered a defeat at the hands of Eric Rowan and Luke Harper after which the Wyatts earned a no.1 contender’s spot for the WWE Tag-Team championships. That match will possibly occur at Battleground which may see the title changing hands.

In the Divas section, we saw the Funkadactyls explode into a brawl after losing their tag-team fight against AJ Lee and Paige. The segment might be followed up by a Divas bout between the two at the PPV.
