WWE has bigger plans with Logan Paul: Why match with Rey Mysterio is just the beginning

Logan Paul vs. Rey Mysterio is one of the matches set for Crown Jewel 2023 next month. While it may seem like this will be a one-and-done feud for the United States Championship, the YouTuber's interaction with Dominik Mysterio speaks differently.

Logan Paul vs. Rey Mysterio was made official after the former called out his opponent in his post-fight interview with Dillon Danis. Paul and Rey eventually met last week on SmackDown and made their title match official. While The Maverick's relationship with the Hall of Famer is sour, the same can't be said with the latter's son, Dominik Mysterio.

On this week's RAW, Logan and Dominik exchanged pleasantries and insulted the latter's "deadbeat dad." Paul also invited WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin to the ring and recalled how he defeated Ricochet, Samantha's fiance and Logan's former SummerSlam opponent. However, their moment was cut when the mentioned star appeared and attacked Dom and Paul.

This encounter could result in an exciting tag team match at Survivor Series. The aforementioned Premium Live Event will be WWE's last one for this year and is setting up to be a significant show, which means big stars are also expected.

At Survivor Series, Ricochet could team with Rey and Logan with Dominik. It will be an inter-brand bout and would even put the United States and North American titles against each other.

It was mentioned above that The Maverick called out Rey after his fight with Dillon. However, even before this, Paul also put several of his former rivals on notice as well.

Logan Paul revealed on Sports Illustration that he wants to have WWE Championships, much like Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. He also said he has a list of people he wants to wrestle with once he's done boxing Dillon Danis, and both WWE champions are included.

Seth Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre and Roman Reigns against LA Knight for the Undisputed WWE Universal title. Rhea Ripley will defend her Women's World title against Nia Jax, Shayna Baszler, Zoey Stark, and Raquel Rodriguez. Cody Rhodes will go one-on-one with Damian Priest.

It remains to be seen what will transpire in the match between Rey and Logan after Crown Jewel.
