Brad Maddox reveals why WWE fired him, denies Vince McMahon rumors

Was the WWE right in firing Maddox?

Brad Maddox was unceremoniously shown the door by the WWE and the reason that was speculated was attributed to his dark match promo that included the phrase “cocky pricks” during the TV Tapings in Indianapolis.

In an interview with Busted Open Live, the man himself came out clean and confirmed that the promo was indeed the catalyst in WWE firing him. Maddox stated that Vince had an issue with the word ‘pricks’ being used and didn’t like it a bit.

By contradicting widespread rumours, he said that Vince favours guys who knock at his door and discuss creative ideas with the boss. He added that Vince was supportive of the idea of having Maddox team up with Adam Rose, so much so that Vince was behind the angle even on the day Maddox got fired from the WWE.

All of that is just a mere thought now as Maddox’s WWE run came to an abrupt end. He is optimistic on a return and for the time being, would get back to working with YouTube.
