Bobby Lashley returned to WWE in 2018 and has done his time in shocking storylines over the past few years.
The Almighty was part of a soap opera-style story alongside Lana before the company was able to take him seriously and finally, he has become WWE Champion.
It was reported by The Wrestling Observer earlier this year that when Lashley made his return to WWE more than three years ago, he was promised a marquee match against Brock Lesnar.

The two men were both part of the MMA world for several years and the WWE Universe are interested in seeing the two heavyweights test their mettle against each other, but it appears that Lesnar is the one preventing the match from happening.
It was reported earlier this week that The Beast Incarnate could only have around eight matches as part of his current WWE deal, which is believed to be for around 18 months, meaning that Lashley's window is slowly starting to close.
