Brock Lesnar and Becky Lynch both made their long-awaited returns to WWE at SummerSlam and both became part of SmackDown.
This meant that all of the hype that came out of The Biggest Party of the Summer was surrounding SmackDown and Monday Night RAW didn't benefit at all. The biggest stories coming out of SummerSlam for RAW was RK-Bro winning the Tag Team Championships and Goldberg pushing for a WWE Championship rematch.

Reports recently have suggested that many high-ranking officials at NBC and The USA Network are obviously not happy about the fact that both Lesnar and Lynch are both on SmackDown, and it's easy to see why.
SmackDown is already doing better numbers on FOX and now the brand has the company's main stars, Bray Wyatt/The Fiend was on RAW before his recent release but now who really is the biggest star on RAW?
The red brand really could have done with the boost that Brock Lesnar's return would have given to them.
