As reported earlier, Chris Jericho’s return was sealed off a few days ago as WWE had already signed a deal to bring back Y2J after Money In The Bank PPV.
And upon his return, Jericho was straight away assaulted by The Wyatt Family as Bray Wyatt and his disciples teamed up and took out the former World Champion.
It is now reported that a showdown is being set up for the duo at SummerSlam as there are no plans of rushing in the Y2J vs Bray Wyatt feud at the upcoming Battleground PPV.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Furthermore, it is being said that Jericho himself had a major say on the idea to face Bray Wyatt upon his return. Of course, this won’t be the first time that the two will be meeting inside the ring. Their first encounter dates back to May 2, 2013 where Chris and Bray fought in the main event match of WWE NXT which Jericho won. Had he lost the match, Jericho would have to join the Wyatt Family as per the required stipulation.
It now seems that the WWE is planning its new storyline from the remains of the one year old chapter. Jericho himself has handpicked Wyatt to be a future main eventer as he has often stated in his interviews. Previously, he had also revealed his wish to work with the Eater of Worlds when he went to the NXT.
Meanwhile, WWE SummerSlam synopsis has been released by In Demand and it looks like we are in for a Daniel Bryan return at the pay-per-view as per the advertisement.
"When the sun goes down, the action heats up! Don't miss John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Roman Reigns and all your favorite Superstars in the biggest event of the summer."
