They kick the match off with Perkins locking on his patented knee-bar but Kendricks manages to squirm his way to the ropes to keep the match alive. The fight spills on outside next, where Kendricks gets in some offence.
TJ Perkins looks to outwork Kendricks on the mat, with a couple of slick looking submission attempts, but the veteran responds with his typical rough-house style. They exchange offence as TJ Perkins looks to take it up top.
They briefly struggle on the top turn buckle before TJ Perkins takes both Kendricks and himself out of the ring with a hurricurana off the top rope. The action quickens as both men try to snap on their respective finishers, but Perkins manages to lock in his kneebar and Kendricks taps out.

Kendricks headbutts Perkins after the match when the Champion looks to hug it out with the challenger.
