What does Stephanie McMahon have up her sleeve? Is there more to Triple H’s interference in the Fatal Four Way match that we don’t know about? How will the Universal Heavyweight Title Match play out and most of all, what kinds of twists and turns are in store for us once the bell sounds at Clash of the Champions next Friday?
We know there is a potential for every title on the Raw roster could change hands. We also know there has to be some kind of a thriller to come out of the main event. What we don’t know is how the McMahon Family will stand once the night ends.
Will Seth Rollins claim what he “claims” is still his? Will Kevin Owens take down The Architect once more – this time on his own? How will Mick Foley’s role with the Raw factor in the night’s events? We know nothing is set in stone and we also know in order for this show to get over with the fans, it has to deliver a surprise or two.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Here are five twists that could happen Sunday night.
1- Bayley Lays Claim to Women’s Title
The best thing WWE could do is create heat between Bayley and Sasha Banks. Like Banks said, when it comes to the title, she has no friends. The spitfire that Bayley is should show she is a major player in the title picture. While we like seeing Charlotte and Sasha battle with the belt on the line, the ultimate goal is to see Bayley and her rival one on one.
I am not sure how this all plays out with Dana Brooke, but if Banks wins and raises the belt above her head, it sure would be awesome to see Bayley come out and challenge her for the title.
2- Double Turn
It may be a far-fetched notion, but what if Rusev and Lana become the good guys in the United States Title match with Roman Reigns. I have been kicking this around for a few weeks, even coming up with scenarios that would play out with this idea. The fan base still boos Reigns, even when he is chopping down the big Russian.
The fans love Lana (who doesn’t) and Rusev really is a solid wrestler, which we all realize. Could Rusev take a Nikita Koloff-like turn to the good side? If WWE cannot get Reigns over with this storyline, then the best thing to do is to put the US Title on Reigns but have the blond beauty and her burly husband come out as heroes in the match.
3- Samoa Joe
I have another theory. Would anyone like to hear it? What if the “more” in the Kevin Owens title win means the formation of another bad ass clique in WWE headed by Triple H with Owens and the addition of Samoa Joe? What if there are others who will join the fray and a new creation of Evolution is revealed?
It has potential, don’t you think? At some point, Joe has to make his debut on the main roster. The connection between Joe and Triple H is no secret. I see him in an enforcer’s role much like Batista was in Evolution.
4- Brock Lesnar, Anyone?
Another theory of mine is the creation of a feud between Owens and Lesnar that leads to a showdown at WrestleMania 33. It is also possible The Beast Incarnate could have eyes on another world title. Owens has said in the past he would love to work a program with Lesnar, one of his idols in this business.
Since it does not look like Randy Orton will be a viable option as an opponent, could WWE reverse field and put Lesnar (and Paul Heyman) back in the title picture? Lesnar vs. Owens is the current bully on the school yard facing his future.
5- Confrontation Sunday
What could be better than Triple H and Stephanie McMahon standing toe to toe in the center of the ring as the show goes off the air. Forget who wins (although Owens needs to retain) in this case. There has to be some conflict between husband and wife this to be legit.
It could also finally lead to a Triple H-Seth Rollins match at Survivor Series. I suspect this is where we are headed with control of Raw on the line. Maybe it also leads to some interference by Mick Foley. If the company wants to sell this feud the right way, have the two love birds fight for company control.
