As we know, the WWE will have separate PPVs for both Raw and Smackdown after the Brand Split, leading to lots of rumors about the company bringing back some old PPVs in order to cater to both the brands.
One such PPV which is expected to be reinstated is WCW's Clash of Champions, which will replace the PPV currently known as Night of Champions. It's notable here that the name of the event was an original idea of none other than the late, great Dusty Rhodes.
Cody Rhodes, one of the sons of the Hall of Famer expressed his views on this via the following tweet:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The current rumored date and place for the PPV is the September 25th from Indianapolis. It's also notable that the WCW's version of the show was known for its intense matches and since the WWE is resurrecting it now, could history repeat itself?
