The Miz was humiliated by Daniel Bryan at Super Show-Down

In one of the most baffling booking decisions of the past few months, The Miz was defeated by Daniel Bryan in under 3 minutes at Super Show-Down, temporarily putting the breaks on the feud between the two men.

While it hasn't damaged The Miz too much, the decision to have Bryan go over him so quickly has caused The Miz to lose some of his momentum, and a victory at Crown Jewel would help re-establish him as one of the top guys on Tuesday nights.

The WWE clearly wants to tell a much longer story with The Miz and Bryan, and they are probably going to spend the next few months building up The Miz as SmackDown's top heel, likely to set up a WrestleMania showdown between the two men.

Having The Miz win three matches in one night, all by nefarious means, would instantly help him regain some of the heat he has lost as a result of his defeat to Bryan, and would also provide him with plenty to brag about in the coming weeks.
