#1 Face turn: Bobby Lashley becomes WWE Champion and ditches MVP
While Kevin Owens remains a popular figure, Bobby Lashley may have a bigger chance of turning babyface at WWE Day 1. The All-Mighty has been teased as a good guy on RAW, with him and MVP not quite being on the same page.
Lashley has looked incredible in recent weeks, coming off as an all-conquering hero. This was amplified after Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins assaulted him last week. The former WWE Champion can run through the two of them en route to regaining his belt.

While Big E would suffer as a result of this, Bobby Lashley as a face is an intriguing prospect. He can do so at WWE Day 1 itself, ditching MVP as his manager after running through the competition.
#1 Heel turn: Paul Heyman helps Roman Reigns defeat Brock Lesnar at WWE Day 1
After getting fired by Roman Reigns, we can assume Paul Heyman is loosely a babyface now. He did get saved by Brock Lesnar. Heyman certainly cut a sympathetic figure on SmackDown, stating that his career may be over.
However, this may turn out to be a ruse at WWE Day 1. Reigns will defend the Universal Championship against Lesnar, with Paul Heyman potentially playing an important role in the finish. That important role could be the betrayal of The Beast.
Heyman can reaffirm himself as a villain by costing Brock Lesnar the match and returning to Roman Reigns' side. This turn would start 2022 off with a bang and ensure WWE Day 1 will live long in people's memories.
