After her match against Rosa Mendes on Friday Night Smackdown, Divas champion AJ Lee was attacked by Paige as she was knocked off the ramp near the stage and she fell onto the floor.
Officials and medics attended her and she was stretchered off to the back. Ring side commentator, Michael Cole, later announced that AJ was taken to the hospital for an overnight observation.

“AJ was initially not responding when we got to her,” stated WWE physician, Dr. Chris Amann. “As a precautionary measure, we put her in a neck brace, put her on a backboard and escorted her to a local medical facility for follow-up testing. There, she was diagnosed with a whiplash injury.”
It remains to be seen how things will unfold for the Divas champion on next week’s Raw.
