- Come Survivor Series, we would have a new WWE World Heavyweight Champion who would one of the stars who are are battling it out in a classic World title tournament.
In WWE’s latest poll on their website, the fans were asked as to who they would like to see as their new champion and the options were the remaining contenders in the tournament.
The options included Roman Reigns, Kalisto, Dean Ambrose, Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio, Neville, Dolph Ziggler and Cesaro.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
WWE would be really pleased by the results as a majority of the fans want to see Reigns with the belt. Reigns currently leads with 2000 votes, that accounts to 42% of the total votes. He is followed by Ambrose with 25%, Cesaro with 15% and Ziggler with 7% of the votes.
The WWE Universe were thought to have been in splits when it comes to Reigns becoming the new world champion – something that was booked to happen at Survivor Series. That could very well happen as the fans are behind the Samoan Superman, which would surely put a smile on Vince MchMahon’s face.
- It was earlier reported about the firing of NXT trainer and 11 time Tag team Champion Billy Gunn was shown the door by the WWE for testing positive for banned performance-enhancing drugs. He was tested back in July when he was part of a power-lifting competition.
Strangely, WWE wasn’t aware of him being part of these power-lifting competitions and his suspension back in July.
That is said to be one of the reasons why he wasn’t tested up until now, but WWE changed their attitude towards him as they believe that trainers resorting to performance-enhancing drugs would set a bad example to the NXT talents.
It would also put the developmental zone in a bad light and fired Gunn to avoid the risk of being in a tricky situation. As of now, there is no update on Gunn’s replacement and WWE are most probably looking out for someone to fill his shoes.
