Much like The Undertaker, the face that used to run the place, John Cena, holds a special place amongst the WWE roster. After turning into a part-timer a couple of years ago, the 16-time World Champion is still a major part of the global marketing strategy of the company.

Having hardly appeared on WWE TV in the last year or so, it's tough to imagine him being a part of the draft, hence a "Free Agent" spot looks perfect for him. Cena has mentioned in interviews how his body can't allow him to work a full-time schedule with WWE again, but he has also mentioned that he'll always be connected to the company and keep performing in whatever capacity possible.

My body just can’t handle the schedule anymore. It’s a lot of performances a year.
When I turned 40, I honestly looked in the mirror and said, ‘Hey man, I know you really like this. But instead of 250 performances a year, from here on out, just do it 100 times a year and do it well.’ And then it became, ‘Just do it 50 times (a year) and do it well.’ And now it’s like, ‘Hey, you really have to prepare to get ready to perform, and then really recover after a performance.

Many fans still believe that WWE is saving that one last record-breaking World title reign for the Champ, and we'll have to wait and see when the Doctor of Thuganomics will next grace our TV screens.
