With the WWE wrapping up a great Raw from Denver this week, the whole WWE Universe has now shifted their attention to the Elimination Chamber.
Capped by the most anticipated clash between Wyatt Family and the Shield, the pay-per-view is sure to produce sparkles no matter what. The historical significance of the whole things adds to the excitement levels as fans will be more than eager to see the cards being laid out for WrestleMania.
Apart from the matches which were already announced, there were some surprise additions to the PPV before Raw went off air. So let’s take a look at the updated match card and predictions for the Elimination Chamber.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Cody Rhodes and Goldust vs. Curtis Axel and Ryback
Prediction: Curtis Axel and Ryback wins
Why: Because there is no need for this match to be in a pay-per-view unless the company is planning to do something with the brothers.
The match between Cody Rhodes and Goldust at WrestleMania is the only way that these two could stay prominent in the company since they’ve been on a downward spiral after losing the title. So this match against Rybaxel could act as the start for their friction leading to a feud.
Nothing more than a pre-show match, it’s just going to be an average one with the potential to make some sort of headline.
Darren Young vs. Titus O’Neil
Prediction: Titus O’Neil wins
Why: no one cares about this match that’s why. We have wrestlers like Dolph Ziggler, The Miz, Big Show, Mark Henry and many more sitting on the side lines and we have Darren Young and O’Neil fighting it out in Elimination Chamber.
I mean these guys even find it hard to get booked on Raw, or maybe the creative team was drunk while making the match card. Whatever the case maybe, Titus O’Neil is the clear winner here as he is looking ruthless in the new gimmick.
There is no more that is worth mentioning about this one as the only hope will be that it ends quickly.
The New Age Outlaws vs. The Usos (Tag Team Championship)
Prediction: New Age Outlaws wins
Why: The New Age Outlaws are more entertaining champions than the Usos. They might not get it inside the ring and perform over the top technical wrestling, but the degenerates sure know how to keep the fans excited.
The Usos on the other hand still has a lot left in their career so they won’t mind giving the limelight to the older guys for some more time.
The NAO is almost sure to stick around till WrestleMania and a title defense at Elimination Chamber is only going to aid them.
Big E Langston vs. Jack Swagger (Intercontinental Title)
Prediction: Big E wins
Why: Big E still has a lot to give for the Intercontinental title and the other way around also. Along with this putting the title on Jack Swagger wouldn’t make any sense since he still has a potential feud lurking around with is teammate Cesaro.
Langston is sure to carry the title through to WrestleMania and Swagger will only get his miseries piled up.
Zeb Colter will have doubly duty on Elimination Chamber but this will be the one he will be disappointed with since Swagger is sure to lose in this one to ignite the spit of Real Americans.
Batista vs. Alberto Del Rio
Prediction: Batista wins
Why: it’s only a high profile squash match which is designed to give the Animal some momentum before he heads into the WrestleMania.
Simple as that, Del Rio stands no chance against the sheer power that Batista possesses no matter how technically talented the Mexican is. His main event career also seems to be on its twilight at the moment with the match against Batista being the last one.
A loss is going to send Del Rio back into the abyss of uncertainty where neither the writers nor himself will be having no idea what he is doing. Meanwhile, Batista could go on to headline WrestleMania and try to knock out anyone who wins the Elimination Chamber.
The Wyatt Family (Bray Wyatt, Luke Harper, and Erick Rowan) vs. The Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins, and Roman Reigns)
Prediction: Wyatt Family wins
Why: The creepy guys are more united than the Shield even though Seth Rollins brags about the hounds of justice being on the same page.
The friction that runs between Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose is a crack that will be surely exposed by the Wyatt Family. The amount of in ring psychology that Bray Wyatt and his men brings into the squared circle makes it impossible for the Shield to crack this one.
However, the match wouldn’t be nothing short of an epic as it will be a kaleidoscope of different styles of wrestling. it is also bound to be a headline maker in all aspects giving us an exact idea of where the Shield will be headed cum WrestleMania as for the Wyatt Family is concerned their direction can only be known from the next match which is…
Randy Orton (c) vs. John Cena vs. Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan vs. Cesaro vs. Christian (Elimination Chamber Match- WWE World Heavyweight Championship)
Prediction: Randy Orton wins
Why: Because Randy Orton heads into the match as the clear underdog. There is a plethora of talent to choose the winner from but Orton is going to triumph over all of them much to the disappointment of the WWE Universe.
He has been taking a lot of embarrassment recently losing out to four of his five opponents in the chamber but this is only an ideal setting for Orton to retain the tile and prove everyone that he is worth it.
As for the others, the most interesting subplots to follow will be that of Daniel Bryan and Cesaro. Bryan is sure to be tangled in some kind of dispute with the Authority at some point or the other with Kane maybe going the limit in order to make sure Bryan doesn’t win.
Cesaro meanwhile will be the stand out performer of the chamber with his impressive move set leaving everyone dazzled by his performance in the match.
From the remaining, the dark side of Christian might open up a potential feud between Sheamus and Captain Charisma. John Cena might fall prey to the Wyatt Family again setting Cena-Bray showdown at WrestleMania.
With this much subplots to follow, the Elimination Chamber match is sure to produce sparkles along with the Wyatt-Shield showdown. All it needs now will be a little patience because it is “the” most anticipated pay-per-view in recent months.
