WWE Elimination Chamber 2019: 5 potential finishes to the WWE Championship match

The main event of the evening!
The main event of the evening!

It looks like we're about to get the first WWE Championship match headlining a dual-branded PPV for the first time since the brand split. It might come as quite a surprise to you that the last time the WWE Championship match main evented a PPV with both brands was actually at Battleground 2016, right before the brand split.

However, the Elimination Chamber card isn't too stacked and it leaves enough space for the WWE title to main event the show in what's one of the two chamber matches. As you probably know, Mustafa Ali, the original participant, was replaced by Kofi Kingston of The New Day.

All six competitors participated in a Gauntlet match on SmackDown Live and Kofi Kingston stole the show by going for over an hour, similar to Seth Rollins last year on RAW (coincidentally, before Elimination Chamber as well).

He stole the night and WWE did a great job getting him hot for the match. Let's take a look at different scenarios as to how the Chamber match can end.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

#5. Kofi Kingston shocks the world

Kofi Kingston is hotter than ever and fans who have been following him for a long time truly believe that he should be WWE Champion. After all, Kingston has been with the company for around 11 years now, and he's shown that he has all the tools to be a world champion.

Xavier Woods and Big E have explicitly stated that their goal is to make sure that Kingston becomes World Champion when it's all said and done. They may not be able to help him inside the chamber match, but what if Kofi Kingston pulled off the big upset and actually ended up winning the title? It would be a moment for the ages!

#4. AJ Styles becomes a 3-time WWE Champion

AJ Styles will always be a reliable pick and a loved WWE Champion. Admit it, whether you think it's the best decision or not, you're likely not going to find a lot of fan backlash to AJ Styles becoming WWE Champion.

After all, he's had two great reigns, the second of which saw him be WWE Champion for over a year (joining an elite list in the process). Styles has been in one Chamber match before, and that saw him go all the way till the end until Bray Wyatt eventually eliminated him to win the match.

It wouldn't be surprising to see WWE put the title on Styles so that his match against Randy Orton at WrestleMania 35 can be a high-profile one. Either way, the match honestly doesn't need the title at all to have a big-match feel to it. They are two big stars, after all.

#3. Samoa Joe wins the big one

Samoa Joe really hasn't had the best of luck on SmackDown Live. Granted, he challenged for the WWE Championship for a few months consecutively, but he always fell short for one reason or the other.

However, his incredible promo skills and intensity has always helped him stay credible despite falling short, and it would be a lie to say that he doesn't deserve to be in the Chamber match. After all, he is one of the top SmackDown Live superstars.

The odds may not be in his favour, but one would think that the Elimination Chamber match is perfectly suited for someone like Joe. He can wreck havoc and go on to win the match in dominant fashion as well. Hopefully, even if he doesn't win, he can rack up 2-3 eliminations so that he's viewed as the biggest threat inside the Elimination Chamber.

#2. Daniel Bryan retains clean

WWE Champion “The New” Daniel Bryan is joined by Rowan as he hits the ring prior to the Gauntlet Match.

This is honestly the most ideal outcome. In his fourth WWE Championship reign, Daniel Bryan has now exceeded all his other title reigns combined. It's been a great run for him so far, because, on all three prior occasions, he was the top babyface.

However, now he's a heel and things are very different. He's the "Planet's hero" and the preachy kind, one that no one really likes. With that said, he's been doing an excellent job as a heel, and after all that he's been through, he most definitely deserves to walk into WrestleMania as the defending WWE Champion, with Rowan by his side.

Bryan has Chamber experience and has won the match before in 2012, and hopefully, history repeats itself 7 years on. It's Bryan's match to lose and he can cement the credibility of his title reign with an impressive Elimination Chamber victory.

No one deserves it more than he does.

#1. Bray Wyatt returns to help Daniel Bryan win

We haven't seen Bray Wyatt on WWE television since he and Matt Hardy lost their tag title rematch to the B-Team. Many view it as a good thing that he's been kept off TV for so long, because he went through all sorts of different phases in his career and fans were getting tired.

However, absence does make the heart grow fonder, and it would be good if Bray Wyatt returned, not only to WWE but more specifically to the SmackDown Live brand, where he clearly thrived at in 2016-17.

He could reform an alliance with Daniel Bryan and help him win. This time, it would be Bryan leading the faction and they could come up with an interesting storyline that really hasn't been done before.

The Eater of Worlds needs to return on time for WrestleMania 35. It's high time that he comes back.
