The Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin saga extends a fair way back. Once upon a time, Baron Corbin was the corrupt General Manager of RAW. He would misuse the power he had and put babyfaces in perilous and difficult situations. He even teamed up with Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley to safeguard his spot.
The trio would assault Braun Strowman's arm on one occasion, sending him out of commission. Even after Braun Strowman lost his General Manager spot, the animosity did not subside. Strowman would chase Corbin all the way to Vince McMahon's limousine and lose his title shot at the recent Royal Rumble pay-per-view.
The two men have an opportunity to settle their score once and for all, inside the ring at the Elimination Chamber. One wonders if Drew McIntyre will be by Baron Corbin's side when he makes his way to ringside.
Irrespective of how the odds stack up against him, it is impossible to bet against someone like Braun Strowman. Strowman may be the most protected superstar in WWE right now, with the possible exception of Brock Lesnar. One has to cast his/her mind back a fair deal to remember the last time he was pinned clean on television.
Even if Corbin has a trick or two up his sleeve, I cannot see him defeat Braun Strowman. And if he does, I simply do not see the point of the victory. It's not like Baron Corbin is going to be part of a lot of big programs as we head into WrestleMania season.
I don't really know what lies in store for Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 35. But a full-fledged rivalry with Drew McIntyre could serve him well, considering they've had clashes but never a full-blown war, as they should have.
So my prediction for Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin is quite simple really. I think Braun Strowman absolutely decimates Baron Corbin and leaves him in a pile in the middle of the ring at Elimination Chamber. And then some angle between Strowman and McIntyre begins for WrestleMania season.
Do you think Strowman is winning this one? Or should Corbin come out on top?
