This was a long time coming, wasn't it? The women of WWE have made history and the company has rewarded them at every turn with massive opportunities. This year, they seem all geared and primed to main event WrestleMania. Let's look at who can potentially become the inaugural Champions at WWE Elimination Chamber 2019.
From RAW, we have the Boss n' Hug connection ie. Bayley and Sasha Banks, the powerhouse duo of Nia Jax and Tamina as well as the cohesive Riott Squad. On the blue brand, you have the IIconics, Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville or the remains of the erstwhile 'Absolution' heel faction and the unlikely duo of Carmella and Naomi competing for the prize.
These twelve women will enter the Elimination Chamber. Bear in mind that while tag team titles did exist in WWE in the 80s, it's been forever since they were last seen.
And this means that it would be fair to call whoever wins this match the inaugural WWE Women's Tag Team Champions.
I really think that Sasha Banks and Bayley are the clear favourites to win the whole thing. And this is also based on the fact that they took the pin on RAW this week and whoever eats the mat on the go-home show usually stands tall at the pay-per-view event. The only glitch in the plan could be if Sasha Banks is legitimately injured and not cleared to wrestle.
In that case, I'd probably have to name Nia Jax and Tamina as the favourites to win the big prize. But if Sasha Banks is fit to go, then I cannot think of better representatives for these brand new titles than the Boss n' Hug connection, because they've been in the shadows for far too long.
Sasha Banks and Bayley enter the match first, and so they are already on the back foot with regard to winning. Could they defy the odds and stand tall? I certainly think so.
Let us know your pick in the comments. Do you think Sasha Banks and Bayley could win?
