As expected, the reign of the Juggernaut has been quite a dominant one. Buddy Murphy has not only survived every title defense but has run through all competitors standing across the ring from him. No longer the Best Kept Secret, he hopes to become the greatest Cruiserweight Champion of all time, but that goal has brought him to a match against former Cruiserweight Champion Akira Tozawa.
Not only has Tozawa held the gold before, but he said something that seemed to get under the skin of Murphy. During the contract signing backstage on the latest episode of 205 Live, Murphy asked what makes him worthy of a shot at the belt.
Tozawa replied that Murphy wasn't the only unbeatable man to run 205 Live. In fact, Tozawa was the one to beat that man, known as the King of the Cruiserweights, in a match where many considered him to be an underdog.
The comparison left Murphy furious. Did others see him as "Neville-light"? Tonight, Murphy had a chance to prove Tozawa, and everyone else in the WWE Universe, wrong.
