#2. Possible update on Goldberg's future after Elimination Chamber
WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is set to challenge Universal Champion Roman Reigns for his title at Elimination Chamber. The match is two years in the making, as it was originally supposed to happen at WrestleMania 36 but was canceled due to Reigns pulling out at the last moment.
Goldberg's bout against The Tribal Chief is set to be the last on his current WWE contract, raising questions among fans if this could be his final match. However, Dave Meltzer has reported on the Wrestling Observer Radio that Goldberg is expected to re-sign with the company.
“I would expect that they would re-sign him," said Meltzer. "They’re not going to put the title on him unless he re-signs, I’m sure of that… I could see the argument because of being so high not to re-sign him, but I just sense that they probably will. One, to keep him away from the opposition, and the other, because they can afford to do it… Again, like the Saudis. There’s not too many guys from that era left."
The chances of Goldberg becoming the new Universal Champion at WWE Elimination Chamber 2022 are extremely low. However, fans might continue to see him wrestle occasionally for WWE over the next few years if he decides to sign a new contract with the company.
#1. Cody Rhodes on his way to Saudi Arabia?
Cody Rhodes' departure from AEW and potential return to WWE has been the biggest talking point in the pro wrestling world over the past few days.
No one expected to see the former Executive Vice President of AEW return to WWE, but it seems like it could happen. Additionally, there is speculation that he could show up as early as the event in Saudi Arabia.
These rumors were fueled by a recent picture shared on Reddit of Cody Rhodes with a fan in a Polish airport. Fans have been wondering if he may have been there to catch a connecting flight to Saudi Arabia.
Whether The American Nightmare shows up at Elimination Chamber remains to be seen, as does who his first opponent might be.
