WWE could enforce a major change for Roman Reigns after 825 days at Night of Champions

Roman Reigns is reaching 1,000 days as Universal Champion.

Roman Reigns is by far WWE's biggest star. The Tribal Chief has held the Universal Championship for nearly 1,000 days, and, as a result, he has main evented almost every Premium Live Event since the historic reign began.

The current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion has headlined every such show since WrestleMania 38, and before then, Reigns would open if he wasn't closing. The last time he wasn't involved in the first or last match of a Premium Live Event was Elimination Chamber 2021, defeating Daniel Bryan right after he earned a Universal Title shot.

However, Night of Champions could be another such instance, over two years later. Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa will challenge Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship in Saudi Arabia. The company is promoting it as part of a 'Triple Main Event.'

The actual main event spot, while not secure, will likely go to Seth Rollins and AJ Styles. The two are set to face off for the recently re-introduced World Heavyweight Championship, with internal discussions reportedly leaning towards Rollins and Styles closing Night of Champions.

Charlotte Flair to return and wrestle a CURRENT CHAMPION?

If that is the case, Reigns and Sikoa vs. Owens and Zayn can open the show, but that spot is usually reserved for Brock Lesnar at Saudi Arabia premium live events. The Beast Incarnate will face Cody Rhodes in Jeddah, with the two potentially opening the show.

Provided both situations turn out true, Roman Reigns will be in an unfamiliar spot. On the other hand, it would show that WWE has enough talent to reach The Tribal Chief's level—a big boost, especially with another potential hiatus on the horizon.

Will Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa win the gold at WWE Night of Champions?

There is every chance Roman Reigns leaves Saudi Arabia with four belts, especially with Night of Champions falling on the 1,000th day of his Universal Title reign. Solo Sikoa has also been booked pretty strong, so it would take a monumental effort for Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn to retain their Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships.

The babyfaces should do just that, as there is more potential in The Bloodline's break-up after Reigns and Sikoa lose. The Usos would be blamed for it, finally causing them to snap and turn babyface. The four of them can then main event Money in the Bank with a blockbuster tag team match.
