Kairi Sane vs. Shayna Baszler - NXT Women's Championship match

The Pirate Princess, Kairi Sane had her hands full in her title defense against Shayna Baszler. Baszler was all over Kairi. She had the Champion on the ropes early on as Baszler relentlessly tore her down. Sane was clutching her arm early on here but she still had fight left in her. She forced Baszler back into her corner before exploding with a Spear.

Kairi walked the plank and hit Shayna with a running shoulder tackle followed by a neck breaker. A near fall for Sane but she was stuck favoring her left arm. She hit Baszler with an Alabama Slam before starting to climb to the top turnbuckle. Shayna was back on her feet and she dragged Kairi by the arm.

Kairi replied with a DDT. She then headed to the top rope and looked for the Insane Elbow. Shayna rolled out of the ring and Kairi hit her with a Crossbody to the floor.

Jessamyn Duke tried to attack Kairi from the audience but Sane swatted her away. Kairi headed to the top rope and this time Marina Shafir interfered. Kairi kicked her away but Shayna locked in the Rear Naked Choke. Sane got out of the hold but Duke caught her with a kick to the back of the head.

Shayna locked in another Rear Naked Choke and this time it was over.

Result: Shayna Baszler def. Kairi Sane

A tainted victory for sure but Shayna Baszler is the new NXT Women's Champion.
