A PPV that was not as extreme as we expected it to be

Taking into account that the match was designed after Ambrose, it was not much of a surprise that Ambrose won the match. The real surprise factor of the match was that almost every weapon placed in the Asylum was used including thumbtacks, except for Mitch Jr.

Ambrose thrives in these kind of matches and Jericho has clearly more experience in these kind of matches than anyone on the roster put together. Jericho’s willingness to accept a powerslam on thumbtacks made this match memorable. To be frank, this was the only extreme match of the night.

That being said, the match was not that extreme and the PG constraints toned it down understandably. But, still this is Extreme Rules for god’s sake and WWE should take off PG for this one PPV atleast.

Verdict: 3.5/5
