So, despite all the teasing and all the rumours, Finn Balor did not win the Fatal Fiveway. I honestly think this is a good thing as it protects from him from a crushing loss against Brock Lesnar and opens up some really good possibilities.
One is the aforementioned feud against Bray Wyatt. The two have unresolved issues from right after Payback last month and who doesn’t want to see The Eater of Worlds go up against The Demon King? It would be quite the treat indeed.
Another possibility is for Balor to go up against the new Intercontinental Champion, The Miz. The two have already clashed before hand and this promises to be a feisty encounter and the perfect way for Balor to rebound from his unexpected loss last night.
The two also share the perfect babyface vs. heel dynamic and a run with the IC belt before returning for the Universal Championship might be the best decision for Balor’s career as well.
