#2 No titles change hands
Unlike the past few pay-per-views from WWE, Extreme Rules will have almost all the main brands’ titles be defended on the show.
Both the WWE Universal Championship and WWE Raw Women's Championship will be on the line in a mixed tag team Extreme Rules match where champions Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch will take on Baron Corbin and Lacey Evans.

Both Raw and SmackDown’s tag team titles will also be on the line during the event. SmackDown will also see both its major titles get defended at the event as Kofi Kingston will defend the WWE Championship against Samoa Joe, while Bayley will have the odds against her in a handicap match for the WWE SmackDown Women's Championship against Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross.
Extreme Rules will also see Drew Gulak defend the WWE Cruiserweight Championship against Tony Nese. Ricochet will have to face the odds as he will defend his United States Championship against AJ Styles, who will have The Club beside him.
While so many championships matches are scheduled for the event, WWE could surprise us by ensuring that all the current champions keep their titles in order to develop even stronger storylines heading into SummerSlam where more championships could change hands.
