#3 AJ Styles
It’s always nice to see the Phenomenal One with a new belt around his waist, but AJ Styles wasn’t in championship form at Extreme Rules. The man who's been described as this generation’s Shawn Michaels has set such high standards for himself in WWE. His latest heel turn was needed to keep his career fresh as he was entering a stale period that kept him out of the main event scene recently. When he was drafted to Raw, it was meant to be a massive acquisition for the red brand, but instead, AJ has blended into the furniture on Monday nights after losing to Rollins, rather than standing out.
With help from The Club, AJ defeated Ricochet for the US title. However, it didn’t seem like a big deal in the slightest. Throughout the match, the capacity crowd barely made any noise, reflecting the lackluster nature of the match. AJ Styles is always phenomenal, but he wasn’t in Philly.
