Rusev, like several other Superstars in WWE currently, has been overlooked and hasn't had much TV time lately, despite him being very over with the fans just a year or so ago with the "Rusev Day" gimmick.
Such is the competition in WWE, and the number of talented Superstars, that one of the best gimmicks in recent times, has died very, very quickly.
But, with WWE going in a different direction under new creative heads, we could maybe see Rusev get another shot and perhaps this time a gimmick that stands out from the rest.
Rusev is a clearly talented wrestler - in the ring or on the mic, and deserves to have a run with a title, at least a mid-card title, or even as a tag team champion. WWE will not want to lose Rusev to a rival promotion (hint: AEW) as he has the talent to probably become a big star.
