This is the big question that's being asked following Extreme Rules since MVP was able to win the United States Championship via forfeit last night. It was noted by the commentary team that Apollo Crews hadn't been cleared to compete so he wouldn't be allowed to defend the title which meant that MVP was the new Champion.
In the past, there has always been a 10 count in order for a forfeit to take place, but this didn't happen last night. Cedric Alexander and Ricochet have also had their issues with Bobby Lashley and MVP in recent weeks but they didn't come out to avenge their fallen friend.

The whole segment was just MVP being given a title then walking away. Now, hee's a heel and last night was very heel heavy. It's unknown what the real reason is for Apollo Crews' no show last night at Extreme Rules (though it may be COVID-19 related), but the former Champion did tweet after the show to note that he's coming for the Championship when he is cleared.
