Drake Maverick is back in the fold once again as a part of WWE NXT and we saw Heath Slater cause a stir on social media and across the WWE Universe when he returned to RAW in the build to Extreme Rules.
Whether it's for a one-off appearance or for a more significant run with the company, I can absolutely imagine Erick Rowan returning to take Braun Strowman out, at the swamp fight at Extreme Rules 2020.
The question of whether or not Erick Rowan will join his good friend Brodie Lee in AEW as a member of The Dark Order remains to be seen. But I strongly believe that Rowan needs to be a part of this match if you consider the horror show tag that Extreme Rules has and that a WWE appearance will only help Erick Rowan get better indie bookings.
Because all the men involved share such a deep history, the swamp fight could be an emotional affair if Rowan gets involved too.
