Cedric Alexander is one of the most talented men in the WWE roster but he just needs that push, that X-factor before he can break out and showcase to the world exactly what he is made of. WWE has masterfully laid the foundation for the same in the build to Extreme Rules by teasing a heel turn for Cedric Alexander and a potential move to MVP's stable at WWE Extreme Rules 2020.
Yes, it would pull the rug out from under Apollo Crews' feet but as we have seen, Crews is a great babyface when he is chasing and not when he is in possession of a Championship. If he loses his match at WWE Extreme Rules, he can win it back at SummerSlam.
And then maybe, he could go into a long feud with Cedric Alexander for possession of the WWE United States Championship after SummerSlam.
