I don't know what the actual situation with Apollo Crews is and I do hope that he is back in time to regain and reclaim the WWE United States Championship very soon. But there was a tweet from my esteemed colleague Gary Cassidy during the course of WWE Extreme Rules that made me wonder if the whole angle with MVP becoming the United States Champion with Apollo Crews not showing up was a way for the company to take a shot at Jon Moxley and AEW at Fyter Fest.

I can’t tell if MVP is the legit United States Champion, or if this is another TNA World Championship or FTW Championship situation...#ExtremeRules
One even has to wonder if this whole angle at Extreme Rules 2020 was a jibe from WWE Creative at Impact Wrestling where there's a World Champion in Eddie Edwards and Moose is the TNA Champion. Whatever the case may be, I am not really a fan of how everything played out with Apollo Crews and MVP and genuinely hope that the title is elevated to a prestigious position once again.
