Could the Beast Incarnate be eyeing the WWE Championship?

Paul Heyman addressed the crowd on this week's episode of Raw and announced that his client Brock Lesnar will cash in his MITB contract at Extreme Rules. While Lesnar's original target was the Universal Champion Seth Rollins, Heyman said Lesnar could cash in on WWE Champion Kofi Kingston instead.

Kofi Kingston will defend his WWE Championship against Samoa Joe this Sunday at Extreme Rules and could come out victorious. With SummerSlam just around the corner, the WWE title picture needs a more promising storyline. If Lesnar cashes in on Kingston this Sunday and wins the WWE title, it could give SmackDown Live the much-needed boost for a high profile WWE title match at SummerSlam.

Even if Lesnar doesn't cash in the contract at Extreme Rules, Paul Heyman could lay out the challenge for a SummerSlam match against Kofi Kingston on behalf of his client. Either way, a Brock Lesnar and Kofi Kingston match at SummerSlam would do a great deal of good for WWE in terms of ratings.
