Like 2018, Team Hell No had teamed up at this event in 2013, where they defended their titles against The Shield. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins defeated them to seize the gold. One year later, Kane challenged his former tag team partner Daniel Bryan for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship in an Extreme Rules match. Bryan retained his title using the Running Knee.
