#9 AJ Styles (c) vs. Rusev - WWE Championship match

Rusev was in control early and went in for a pin but it was an instant kick out from Styles. Rusev hit a suplex and then another before administering an elbow drop. AJ was launched into the air by Rusev after missing a big move and Rusev followed up with a slam and a bearhug. AJ was on the top rope and Rusev went for a superplex but Styles slipped out and kicked Rusev in the leg dropping him outside.

AJ hit a high flying forearm to the outside and the match returned to the ring soon after. AJ hit another forearm and a reverse DDT. AJ missed the Styles clash and went for a calf crusher but Rusev fought out of it. Rusev was about to dive when he was met with a forearm from the outside by AJ. Styles hit an Enzugiri but took a boot to the face. Styles countered a forearm with a kick in mid-air and both men were down

AJ hit the calf crusher on Rusev's injured leg and he screamed in agony. Aiden helped Rusev reach the bottom rope and AJ had to release the hold. Styles went after Aiden English and Rusev caught him with a suplex and then a Machka kick. AJ kicked out at two and Rusev went for the accolade but Styles reached the bottom rope. Aiden tore the cover of a turnbuckle when the official wasn't looking and Rusev missed a big move and went straight for the turnbuckle. AJ hit a springboard 450 and Rusev kicked out yet again. AJ took out Aiden and hit the phenomenal forearm to pick up the victory.

Result: AJ Styles def. Rusev and retained the WWE Championship
