Extreme Rules Results: Bizarre finish to main event; Former Women's Champion returns

Roman Reigns (c) vs. 'The Demon' Finn Balor - Universal Championship match at Extreme Rules

Balor went for Roman's legs as the match started and Reigns hit a Samoan Drop on the Demon at Extreme Rules. Roman grabbed a Kendo Stick from under the ring but the Demon came up with four Kendo Sticks taped together and beat the champ with it instead.

Balor was hit with a running knee before Reigns went for a steel chair and smashed his opponent with it. Balor managed to take the champ down and stomp on him, before sending him outside and into the steel steps.

Roman hit a drive-by on the apron as Balor was bringing a table into the ring. The match spilled over to the crowd and Roman dropped Balor onto the kickoff show desk.

Balor hit a crossbody from on top of the glass desk and through another table before they headed back to the ring. Balor set up the table before Roman slammed him through it but The Demon still managed to kick out of the pin attempt at Extreme Rules!
