Naomi will look to win the WWE Money in the Bank Ladder Match on Saturday and claim the briefcase that guarantees a future title match at a time and place of her choice. The former champion is trying to maintain her status as a contender, but she has yet to achieve her goal of becoming the women's champion.

She got a couple of opportunities at Elimination Chamber and Backlash, but is yet to get a major push by WWE. Still, this could change at Money in the Bank, where Naomi could have a heel turn and go after the reigning champion on WWE SmackDown, Bayley.

Naomi could chase Bayley and enter the title picture

Naomi made her return to WWE earlier this year at the Royal Rumble. Her babyface character made her a valuable ally to Bayley, who sided with her in her feud with Tiffany Stratton, and more recently, Nia Jax, while she only had one title opportunity, where she lost to the reigning champion and Stratton in a Triple Threat Match.

Thus, if she had a heel turn, she could turn on Bayley and re-enter the title picture, setting the stage for a future title match against the WWE Women's Champion.

She could win MITB and confront Bayley

WWE could have Naomi turn heel and win the MITB match to become the new Ms. Money in the Bank. That way, she would have a great chance of becoming a world champion, as the most likely scenario would be to cash in on Bayley instead of reigning Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.

Should she win at Money in the Bank, fans could see her confront, or even assault, Bayley backstage, while the most extreme scenario would be to cash in on the same night should Bayley defend her title at a premium live event. What adds to the drama is she can hold the threat of cashing in the contract for a whole year, giving rise to many possibly storylines with the champion and subsequent challengers.

A heel turn allows WWE to create more storylines

If Naomi does turn heel, she would join Tiffany Stratton and Nia Jax as the top heels on SmackDown. Thus, this would allow WWE to create new angles and storylines in the women's division.

For instance, Stratton and Naomi could have a match for a future title opportunity, or the former champion could confront Nia Jax and get added to the latter's title match at SummerSlam.

In addition, the creative team could push all three superstars and have a Fatal-Four Way match for Bayley's WWE Women's Championship. That said, the WWE Universe should wait to see whether Naomi will have a heel turn at Money in the Bank and what plans the company has for her in the future.
