WWE Fastlane 2018 Predictions: Who will win at the last stop before WrestleMania 34?

This Sunday's Fastlane is the final stop on the Road to WrestleMania, and at the end of this pay-per-view, the 'Mania match card will begin to become much clearer. WWE Championship holders will be decided and rivalries will begin to form at Fastlane.

There is a huge WWE championship match all set up for the main event, which includes four former/current world champions and the winner will go on to defend the gold against Shinsuke Nakamura.

Also on the card, The New Day will revive their rivalry with SmackDown tag champions. The Usos. Ruby Riott will get her shot at Charlotte, while Natalya and Carmella will face Becky Lynch and Naomi in a tag match.

Rusev will take on this year's Royal Rumble winner, Shinsuke Nakamura, and finally, Bobby Roode will defend the United States championship against the viper. Here we list the predictions for all matches in the card:

US Championship - Bobby Roode vs. Randy Orton

The Glorious one vs The Viper

This match should be very good with the talent sharing the squared circle. Two of the most decorated pro wrestlers of the past decade will be clashing for the United States championship. This is the final title on Randy Orton's checklist before he claims all of WWE's gold.

Jinder Mahal has also been heavily involved in this feud during the build towards Fastlane, and many believed it would become a triple threat, but perhaps that is being saved for WrestleMania 34. Roode's run as champion is still in its infancy, and this causes many to feel like he will at least hold on to the championship until Mania.

This match will in all likelihood end in a no contest due to interference from Mahal. Roode will, of course, retain setting up a triple threat for the big show.

Prediction: No Contest

Naomi & Becky Lynch vs. Carmella & Natalya

The Irish Lass Kicker

This is WWE's way of showing fans they haven't forgotten about every other woman in Smack Down's women's division other than Charlotte. This will be a fun short match. It won't have much impact on the storylines for Charlotte going forward. Carmella being the money in the bank briefcase holder may lead some to think her team will win to give her a rub.

However, usually WWE do the opposite with the case holder. They tend to take a lot of losses before they get to cash in the case. The math feels like a filler match to get more women on the card which would usually lead to a face victory.

Becky Lynch forcing Natalya to submit would make the most sense of all the possible finishes. It will make Lynch look strong, while somewhat protecting Carmella.

Prediction: Lynch & Naomi win

Rusev vs. Shinsuke Nakamura

Will Shinsuke Nakamura ruin Rusev day?

Rusev has skyrocketed to become one of WWE's most popular Superstars in WWE today. Nakamura is also ultra over with fans in the wrestling world, and is on his way to a WWE championship match at Mania, while Rusev doesn't have much going on. Maybe, Rusev Day will make a run for team gold at the grandest stage.

This seems to be one final test that all Rumble winners go through before challenging for the world title. Rusev needed to be on the card with his huge rise in popularity, but he doesn't stand much of a chance to win this match.

Nakamura is heading to the main event of the biggest wrestling show of the year. Rusev will get a huge crowd reaction and eventually receive a Nakamura knee and a loss.

Prediction: Nakamura wins

SmackDown Women's Championship - Ruby Riott vs. Charlotte

Can the Riott squad pull off an upset?

Charlotte has one more roadblock on the fast lane to WrestleMania. Did you see what I did there? Moving on, Charlotte has been one of the most dominant women to ever step into a WWE ring.

Ruby is still new to the main roster looking to dethrone the queen from her pedestal. Ruby also has her riot squad to back her up with Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan.

Can the numbers game catch up to miss Flair? Probably not, would be my guess. Charlotte is on a collision course with Asuka at WrestleMania.

Betting on Charlotte is such a sure thing you'd make no money and betting on Riott would be the equivalent of giving away your money. Charlotte will make the Riott Squad watch Ruby submit to the Figure Eight.

Prediction: Charlotte wins

SmackDown Tag Team Championships - The Usos vs. The New Day

Which team will carry the titles into Mania?

The Uso penitentiary has locked down many tag teams over the past couple of years, including the longest reigning tag champs of all time, The New Day. These two teams have had some epic battles for the tag gold near the end of 2017.

The matches they put on are always great to watch. The New Day will be looking to unseat the champs and go on to Mania to defend the tag gold as they have in the past.

Jimmy and Jey need some fresh faces and this match feels like one final placeholder challenge before someone new comes along for WrestleMania 34. The match will definitely be a good one, but we have seen it much over the past six months.

The Bludgeon Brothers are waiting in the shadows for their opportunity. There are many more teams on NXT with the potential to be locked down by the Samoans. They will dispatch The New Day and move on to something new.

Prediction: The Usos

WWE championship six-pack challenge - AJ Styles vs. John Cena vs. Sami Zayn vs. Kevin Owens vs. Baron Corbin vs. Dolph Ziggler

Can Styles over come the odds?

Could this match be stacked with much more talent? Some of these men have feuded with each other in the past to create some of the best work in decades. Cena vs. Styles, Zayn vs. Owens, and Owens vs. Cena come to mind. Superstars like Ziggler, Corbin and Zayn could look to reach new heights in their career with a victory here.

The other three are familiar with lengthy reigns with world titles before and they will look to finalize their spot in the WrestleMania main event.

Corbin and Ziggler's paths for Mania are in large question at the moment. Cena seems to have his hand dipped in The Undertaker cookie jar, so to speak. Owens and Zayn seem destined to continue their never-ending war at this year's Mania. That leaves Styles and the Rumble winner, Shinsuke Nakamura, to fight for gold in the main event.

Cena will lay out Corbin, but before he can pin him a gong will ring, the lights will flash off and Cena will be left laying out cold. Owens will be the one to realize what has happened and attempt to pin Cena, but Zayn will break it up. Those two will brawl and Zayn will lay out Owens, only to catch a phenomenal forearm and get pinned.
