The Miz and his father have not always had the best of relationships -- that is one thing we have found out in the buildup to WWE Fastlane.

We learnt that The Miz and his father had actually reconciled, and his father had said that he was proud of him. This was the first time apparently that he had said it in his life after the Miz was able to team up with Shane McMahon and win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Titles at the WWE Royal Rumble.

On top of that, The Miz' father was at ringside supporting his attempt in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.

All of this was pecking at Shane McMahon throughout the build to the match. The reason was that he had never received the same sort of love from his father, throughout his life in WWE.

Vince McMahon and Shane McMahon have had a notoriously strained relationship over the years and seeing The Miz' father supporting him in that fashion even after losing proved to be too much for Shane, and he turned on his partner.

The green-eyed monster called jealousy found a house in Shane McMahon's heart.
