Vince McMahon decided to replace Kofi Kingston with Kevin Owens in the WWE Championship match at Fastlane. Kofi Kingston has been waiting for years to get this opportunity and as a result of that, he has to be extremely frustrated. That will all boil over after Daniel Bryan successfully retains the WWE Championship against Kevin Owens.
There is absolutely no way that WWE is going to have Daniel Bryan lose the WWE Championship this close to WrestleMania 35. While Kevin Owens has a lot of momentum heading into his return, he obviously should not win the championship right away. However, after the match, Kofi Kingston will likely attack Daniel Bryan and Rowan (possibly with the help of the New Day) to force his way back into a WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 35.
