#4 Champions love Fastlane

Fastlane has been a Night of Champions!
Fastlane has been a Night of Champions!

In the 4 past editions of Fastlane, only 3 championships have changed hands at the event. One major reason for this could be due to its placement. Being just one month before WrestleMania, WWE doesn't make a lot of changes in its championship scene at this time.

One more interesting fact is that only a maximum of one championship has changed hands on any of the past Fastlane events.

In 2015, Cesaro and Tyson Kidd defeated The Usos to win the Tag Team Championship. The next year, all 3 champions retained their title. In 2017, Goldberg defeated Kevin Owens to win the Universal Championship, and finally last year, Randy Orton defeated Bobby Roode to win the United States Championship.

#3 Cena is winless at Fastlane

Yes, you read that right. The poster boy of WWE, the Champ, John Cena, is yet to register a win at the Fastlane PPV, with his record being 0-2 (W-L).

Cena first competed at Fastlane in 2015, where he lost to Rusev by technical submission. Cena's second match at the PPV came last year in 2018, where he competed for the WWE Championship in a six-pack challenge against Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn, Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, and the then WWE Champion, AJ Styles.
