Goldberg has been in the news as of late, as he is on a promotion spree for his upcoming movie called ‘Checkpoint’.
In one of the promotional stops, the former WCW and WWE Champion spoke with Scott Fishman of Channel Guide Magazine and revealed how he was approached by TNA with an offer and whether he does want to wrestle again. Below are the best bits from the interview:
On the possibility of an in-ring return

It is no secret that Goldberg is quite up for a return to action inside the squared circle, but he stresses that every factor must be taken into consideration – if the offer for another match comes his way.
“I was very lucky in that I did not kill myself during my tenure in the wrestling world. My body still can take some serious abuse as we see with me training Muay Thai kickboxing three days a week,” Bill said.
By not ruling out a renewed wrestling stint, Bill said, “As long as I got this little boy with a desire to see me do something in the ring, there is the idea of never say never.”
On TNA’s offer and whether WWE are in touch with him
The staunch critic in Goldberg came to the fore when WWE was mentioned, as he branded the WWE of being egotistical and somewhat ridiculous in their approach towards the business.
Bill said, “When something supersedes your business sense, it has to be ego or something ridiculous. I surely am not going to miss a bit of sleep if I don’t get a phone call from them.”
He further revealed about a phone call that he got from TNA a few days back. TNA were apparently interested in promoting his new movie, that incidently also features TNA wrestler Bram as one of Goldberg’s adversaries.
“They want to promote the movie since one of my adversaries in the film is Bram (Thomas Latimer), who works for them. I’m greatly appreciative they want to help the movie out,” Goldberg said.
Goldberg acknowledged the fact that promoting a movie is all well and good, but landing a star with the drawing power such as Goldberg’ are completely poles apart.
“Now at the end of the day, promoting the movie is one thing, but getting a guy like Goldberg in your wrestling organization is a completely different story. We’ll see,” Bill said.
