On tonight's episode of Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker will defend his Intercontinental Championship for the first time in a Two Out of Three Falls Match against Sami Zayn. The 26-year-old won the title from Zayn at The Biggest Party of The Summer earlier this month.
While both superstars stand a chance to win, there is a possibility that a WWE Grand Slam Champion could come to the aid of Bron Breakker. The star in question is Finn Balor. The Prince is the 17th Grand Slam Champion in the Stamford-based promotion under the current format. Overall, he is the 24th star to achieve the coveted feat. Notably, the modern WWE Grand Slam consists of the IC Title, the US Championship, a World Title, and a Tag Team Title.
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh are the reigning World Tag Team Champions. On tonight's RAW, The Judgment Day members could interfere during the IC Title match and cost Sami Zayn. This could lead to Jey Uso coming to the aid of the Canadian star. This potential scenario could then lead to Sami Zayn and Jey Uso challenging Finn Balor and JD McDonagh for the World Tag Team Title.
This belief stems from the fact that Zayn and Jey have been feuding with Balor and his stablemates in recent weeks. Last Monday, The YEET Master teased a potential match against the reigning champions when he told Sami that the duo had unfinished business with The Judgment Day.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Notably, Sami and Jey defeated Finn and McDonagh in a tag team match on the July 22, 2024, episode of Monday Night RAW. It will be interesting to see if the babyface duo gets a title match at the upcoming Bash in Berlin PLE.
Wrestling veteran recently commented on things Bron Breakker needs to improve on in WWE
Since moving to Monday Night RAW, Bron Breakker has been a dominant force. While getting Breakker under control has been a task for Adam Pearce and officials on the flagship show, the 26-year-old is certainly doing something right, and that's the reason he is the current Intercontinental Champion.
However, as per his father and wrestling veteran Rick Steiner, the former NXT Champion is still a work in progress. During a conversation with Sportskeeda Wrestling's Editor Bill Apter, Steiner mentioned that the IC Champion needs to make improvements concerning his moveset.
"Well, just some of the things, some of the moves that he [Bron Breakker] stole from my brother and me. Stole. Stole! Stole! Just perfecting the basics, like laying that clothesline in, take someone's head down. The Frankensteiner, it seems like he's getting down. That spear, he's getting down. He's quick. A lot of things he's got down. It's just those few little things. He perfects everything," he said. [2:29-2:48]
Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see how Bron Breakker fares in his maiden defense tonight.
