Grand Slam Champions are usually considered to be the most decorated wrestlers in WWE, and rightfully so. It is one of the most difficult achievements to attain in WWE, as the wrestler has to reach the pinnacle of both singles and tag-team wrestling and also win the secondary championships in both RAW and SmackDown.
What is a Grand Slam Champion in WWE?
In WWE, a Grand Slam Champion is one who wins the WWE United States Championship, Intercontinental Championship, Tag Team Championship, and either the WWE or Universal Championship. Previously, a Grand Slam Champion was one who won the World Title, either of the three mid-card titles and tag team championship.
However, this methodology was revised in 2015 and Kurt Angle was announced to be the first Grand Slam Champion under the current format. For female wrestlers, one has to win the top title of RAW, SmackDown, NXT, and also the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to be called the Grand Slam Champion.
