Brock Lesnar hasn't been on WWE TV since SummerSlam 2023 where he suffered a defeat at the hands of Cody Rhodes. The Beast acknowledged The American Nightmare by going off-script and raising Rhodes' hands in the air. This was one of the moments when fans would have loved to see Paul Heyman by Lesnar's side.
Paul Heyman had managed Brock Lesnar for most of his career and split up when The Beast took a hiatus following WrestleMania 36. When he returned in 2021, The Wiseman was working as the Special Counsel for Roman Reigns. While Heyman and Lesnar did reunite for a while during Reigns' rivalry with Lesnar, it was a plan hatched by Reigns to keep tabs on The Beast's movement.
While there are reportedly no plans for Brock Lesnar's return in the immediate future, a WWE Hall of Famer is interested in managing The Beast in the Stamford-based promotion and believes he will be better than Paul Heyman. The legend is Sid Vicious!
Here's what he said during an interview with the Attitude Era Podcast:
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
"Brock Lesnar, that's who I'd like to work with, you know, as a dream match today. Me and him would draw money. It just hit me right now, I would like to also be his manager. You know, because we had some things in common, people compare us. And I don't know why he doesn't do his own talking. He seems like he's pretty good when he does talk. But I think I'd be a much better introduction for him than Paul Dangerly [Paul Heyman] was."
While the only way this can happen is if WWE clears Brock Lesnar, it also seems to be the way Sid Vicious can return to the ring. He can't return to in-ring wrestling at the age of 63 and the fracture from 2000 is an obstacle as well. If the WWE Hall of Famer ever wishes to return, managing a superstar has to be it.
Furthermore, during his time, Sid Vicious used to be the biggest man in the ring. He would execute power moves due to his mammoth size, and that worked well with the crowd. Considering Brock Lesnar is one of the biggest men in WWE currently, pairing the two might have a monumental impact on the product.
Brock Lesnar was replaced by a 26-year-old superstar in the Royal Rumble match
When The Beast took a hiatus after SummerSlam 2023, he was slated to return sometime in 2024. When Royal Rumble came around, Brock Lesnar was supposed to be a part of the men's match.
Unfortunately, his name allegedly became entangled with the lawsuit filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant against Vince McMahon, and WWE had to halt all creative plans for The Beast. Furthermore, Bron Breakker was reportedly brought in as Lesnar's replacement in the Royal Rumble men's match.
The WWE Universe has been enquiring about The Beast in recent months. Triple H did mention that The Beast is not out of WWE but is just at home 'being Brock' at the moment. This indicates that WWE's working relationship with The Beast hasn't been terminated but put on hold for the time being.
