WWE’s 2016 Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is set to bestow the company’s ultimate honor on two new individuals in the form of Jacqueline Moore and Stan Hansen. The duo’s induction was confirmed in the Tribute section of the WrestleMania 32 magazine.
Moore and Hansen will join The Fabulous Freebirds, Sting, The Godfather and The Big Bossman as inductees in WWE’s prestigious Hall Of Fame. However, a report of Regis Philbin being inducted into the Celebrity Wing is still unconfirmed.
Moore gained fame as a part of WWF/E from 1998 to 2004, where she was paired alongside Marc Mero against Sable, Mero’s estranged wife. The wrestler then gained fame as part of the Pretty Mean Sisters, before venturing into other roles like a trainer and referee.
Moore’s finest hour in WWE came when she won the WWE Cruiserweight Championship – a male dominated title – becoming the third woman to do so and the only women to win it under the WWE banner.
Stan Hansen, who gained enormous fame in Japan during his stint with New Japan Pro Wrestling, was a part of WWE when they were known as WWWF.
