The only drawback from this feud between Sasha Banks and Bayley was the fact that build-up until the moment of betrayal was dragged for far too long. Given their history as well as the amount of time that WWE invested in showing both these Superstars as best friends and then brutal enemies, one can’t be blamed for expecting that there’s more to his rivalry.

We could see Sasha Banks and Bayley involved in an extended feud over the coming months. It will be unfortunate for Banks to lose the title without being involved in a few good title feuds. And one of them should certainly be with her former best friend. Moreover, Banks should probably be booked more as an anti-hero and not as a complete babyface in WWE.

Both Banks and Bayley proved today they would deliver great matches and deserve the grandest stage, i.e. WrestleMania or even Royal Rumble for that matter. These two WWE Superstars are having the run of their career, and it would be criminal to not capitalise on the potential that this storyline has to offer.

WWE only have to ensure that narrative doesn’t turn boring after a few weeks. Let’s hope that Banks has a compelling run as the new SmackDown Women’s Champion – something that she has deserved for so long.
