#2 WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns' current work is the best of his career so far

Ever since Roman Reigns' return at this year's WWE SummerSlam, fans have been impressed by his new villainous persona and the path that he is taking as the latest Paul Heyman guy.

Since winning the WWE Universal Championship at Payback, Roman Reigns has been hellbent on asserting his dominance and has targeted his cousin, Jey Uso. Reigns has launched some vicious attacks on Jey Uso, angered by the latter's refusal to acknowledge him as The Tribal Chief.

Heading into the HIAC pay-per-view, Roman Reigns decided to up the ante for their Hell in a Cell "I Quit" match by stating that Jey and Jimmy Uso and their wives and children will be excluded from the family if Jey Uso lost.

The match at Hell in a Cell was a masterclass in storytelling, with a full range of emotions on display. Several referees and WWE personnel tried to stop Reigns, but he refused to let them intervene. After Jimmy Uso pleaded Reigns to stop, he seemed conflicted and contemplated his actions before applying a guillotine choke to Jimmy Uso, and only stopped when Jey Uso uttered the words "I Quit". Reigns then celebrated with his father and uncle.

The current Roman Reigns storyline is becoming one of the most interesting and complex ones that have been seen for some time in WWE, and the Superstar has proven that he is more than able to carry this. After a mixed reception from WWE fans in recent years, the current work that Roman Reigns is doing has cemented him as a true Superstar of the business.
