AJ Styles hasn't just been underutilized heading into Hell in a Cell, but his recent run on RAW from October 2020 to now seems to have highlighted that. Simply put, AJ Styles is better on SmackDown. His two stints at RAW between 2019 and 2020 and 2020 to present haven't produced the best results.

This is despite AJ Styles winning championships in both of his RAW stints. AJ Styles' RAW Tag Team title win at WrestleMania resulted in him becoming a WWE Grand Slam Champion, but that was the most that came out of it.

When looking back at the two months of programming before Hell in a Cell, it's clear that WWE had no plans for AJ Styles and Omos as the RAW Tag Team Champions.

The fact that they were involved in a title match at WrestleMania was only because WWE had no other plans for Styles. While they may not even have a title match at Hell in a Cell, it will make no difference if they win at the pay-per-view.
