#4 Why WWE removed Roman Reigns vs Rey Mysterio from WWE Hell in a Cell?

Just days before WWE Hell in a Cell 2021, the scheduled Universal Championship match between Roman Reigns and Rey Mysterio was preponed. The two instead faced each other on SmackDown inside the Cell, with the Tribal Chief making Rey Mysterio tap out.

The sudden decision to remove a marquee match from the card of WWE Hell in a Cell left fans confused. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that there were backstage discussions that led to the match taking place on SmackDown.

''As far as what happened, there’s no involved reason that made any sense. The word we were told is that you can’t describe why, there were just a bunch of discussions on Thursday and the discussions ended up with 'Let’s do it on Smackdown.' As of press time, the plans were for Reigns to not be wrestling on the pay-per-view,'' said Dave Meltzer.

#3 Nixed plans for WWE Hell in a Cell 2021

This week on SmackDown, Kevin Owens vs Sami Zayn was the latest match announced for WWE Hell in a Cell 2021. Earlier this week, Fightful Select reported that there were plans for Owens and Zayn to fight inside Hell in a Cell this Sunday, but WWE ultimately nixed those.

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have a storied history against each other in WWE and outside of it. There's no doubt that the two will have an incredible match this Sunday at WWE Hell in a Cell 2021.
