WWE: Hell In A Cell 2013 Preview

Sometimes The Greatest Battles Are Won By Walking Straight Through Hell!

I’ve said this many times over the years; I don’t think a Hell In A Cell PPV is a good idea. I like the match to be special and reserved for the most intense of situations. Like when Triple H accepted The Undertaker’s challenge at WrestleMania 28, only to have it settled inside the vicious Hell In A Cell! It’s weird, but to me there are two types of Cell matches. The ones that take place on big PPVs are the real ones, and the ones that used to happen on Raw and in PPVs named after the match are usually the “lite” versions. Luckily, it looks like WWE have upped the ante and this year’s Cell matches look like the real deal.

Both Daniel Bryan and CM Punk’s respective rivalries are bitter enough to be settled inside Hell In A Cell. With special referee Shawn Michaels in tow and both Bryan and Orton hungry for the vacant WWE Championship, I have no doubt that they’ll put on one helluva show. It’ll be epic, and I can’t wait to see what sort of role good ol’ HBK plays in this highly-anticipated “score-settler”.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

As for CM Punk’s handicap match against Ryback and Paul Heyman, I’m sure the match looks pretty good on paper and warrants a match as sinister as Hell In A Cell, but I my faith in Ryback has drastically reduced with every passing PPV and babyface Punk just doesn’t do it for me. Not to mention these two were in last year’s Hell In A Cell match and sadly, bored me half to death. I’m a huge Punk fan, but his chemistry with Ryback is awful!

Now on to the big elephant in the room; John Cena. I’d like to think that something monumental is going to happen in this match. Maybe a twist revolving around Cena’s not-so-perfectly-healed triceps, but knowing Cena he’ll just probably waltz into the match, bag the World Heavyweight Championship, and strut outta’ there without missing a beat. Hey, I think Cena’s a good superstar, but if he’s going to come back and pull the same shtick, then why bother.

Not surprisingly, one of my most anticipated matches of the night is the Tag Team Championship with the Rhodes vs The Shield vs The Usos. Goldust and Cody have been nothing but awesome so far, and pitting them against two highly-entertaining tag-teams is bound to create some in-ring gold. Same goes for AJ and Brie. I used to think that Brie was a mediocre Diva at best when it came to her in-ring skills, but she has improved a lot lately and it’s extremely entertaining to watch!
